Fire District Tax Information
All bills issued in June are for the fiscal year beginning July 1 of the same calendar year through June 30 of the following year.
Checks that are made payable to former fire districts, the Town of Cumberland, or any entity other than Cumberland Fire District WILL BE RETURNED to the tax payer.

Cumberland Fire District reserves the right to send delinquent fire tax accounts to sale at public auction or other collections option after delinquency of no less than six months.
If any installment of taxes is not paid by the last date of the respective unpaid balance period or periods as they occur, your whole tax, or remaining unpaid balance of taxes, shall immediately become due and payable AND will carry, until collected in full, delinquent penalty at the rate of fourteen percent (14%) per annum (12% on years prior to 2018). Each installment (quarterly payment as scheduled) paid on or before the last day of each installment period shall be free of any charge of interest.

How to pay Fire District Taxes:
The Cumberland Fire District does not condone or affiliate with bill payment services such as Doxo or Melio. Taxpayers use these services at their own discretion and may be subject to payment or subscription fees not related to fire taxes. Communications from third party sites related to potentially due bills will not contain specific due amounts and may not be accurate to bill balances.

- A drive-up drop box is located at our office entrance, at the rear of the fire station, for payment by check or money order at any time.

- Payment by credit card accepted on-line at www.RIeGov.com. Sign in with account number or search by name or address. Tax payers will be required to provide their full account number for log in. Credit card payments will NOT be accepted over the phone.
